Growing up in Korea, Christina had never known anything but the big city. For her, life was a matter of dressing up, avoiding the cluster and traffic, and managing a busy schedule. She was never able to embrace, let alone explore her love for nature. It wasn't until later in life after she had moved to America, was she able to discover her overwhelming love for animals. In her forties, she adopted a golden retriever, her first dog. Lady Bird opened her heart to a new world of joy and Christina couldn't help but fall in love.
And after some time with Lady Bird, Christina rescued another golden, Gommie Bear.

In 2012, with Gommie and Lady by her side, Christina opened Button Nose Pet Shop. For years, the business flourished and grew while Christina took the two on long hikes everywhere from Cherry Canyon to Eaton Canyon. She even rented an RV so that the three of them could travel the country to places like Yellowstone, North Dakota, and Montana. Christina remarks, "these dogs made me the best person
I could be." If not for Gommie and Lady, this business would not exist.
-For that, as well as their everlasting love, we are eternally grateful.

Judy's ownership of Button Nose Pet Shop resulted from a chance encounter at Montrose Park with Christina. It is the culmination of a lifelong dream to turn her passion and love for nurturing animals into a livelihood for her and her teenage daughter, Olivia.
Ever since Judy's first puppy as a child, Suzy Cucumber Pie, she enjoyed fostering and dog sitting for friends and family. After a career in marketing and design, Judy turned her creative talents toward the dog grooming industry several years ago with a dog-boarding and doggie daycare business, where among other services she was lauded for her skill in dog photography. Judy's compassion, gentle spirit and natural love of our four-legged friends is reflected in Button Nose's clean, warm and caring environment.

Judy is driven by the memory of her beloved golden retriever mix, Belle,
who inspired her to pay forward all the love and devotion
Belle showed her -and her current mixed rescue, Mojo- every day.

Judy is thrilled to be in La Canada Flintridge serving the community alongside the excellent team below.
